At our regular PCC meetings one of the members starts the meeting with a thought and prayer. We are sharing these with everyone on our website as this new ‘thought for the month’ page.
This month we share the prayer from Amanda Regan
Lord Jesus Christ, our desire is to seek you
and to love you with all our hearts.
We have committed ourselves to following you
who are the Way, the Truth and the Life.
Strengthen us to live according to the example
and teaching of your life.
Teach us to love as you did.
Help us to carry the cross daily with you.
When we are weary and over-
let us hear your promise of rest.
Be with us as we travel the pilgrim road
so that our hearts may ever burn with love and joy.
Light our way to where you live and reign
with the Father and the Holy Spirit
now and for ever and ever. Amen.
‘I chose this prayer because I felt it was a reminder of the path we have chosen to take as Christians, and that God is by our side every step of that journey.’
